Mudkips on SUI

Mudkips on SUI is a community-driven crypto education project built around $SMUD, a memecoin on the SUI blockchain. The idea was simple: make learning about crypto, blockchain, and digital sovereignty feel a lot less intimidating.

I designed and engineered the website around that idea, blending the playful personality of Mudkip with a more structured educational experience. The site brings together educational content, community, the $SMUD ecosystem, and the project's broader mission of making crypto knowledge more accessible, particularly in underdeveloped regions.

The experience is built around three core ideas: Learn, Earn, and Support. Visitors can explore interactive educational modules, earn NFT certificates as they progress, and contribute to educational initiatives through the EduPass.

A big part of the challenge was balancing two very different worlds: memecoin culture and serious education. The visual direction, motion, illustrations, and interactions were designed to make the experience feel playful without losing the credibility of the project's mission.

The result is a site that doesn't feel like a typical crypto landing page. It feels more like a community and education platform that happens to speak fluent internet.
