Strix Production

2024–2026

Strix Production is a product studio working with startups, SaaS companies, and businesses to design, build, and launch digital products. I worked with Strix as a Senior Developer, helping turn ideas, designs, and client requirements into real products across web applications, SaaS platforms, landing pages, and other digital experiences.

Working at Strix gave me the opportunity to work on a much wider range of projects than I would normally encounter on my own. Different clients meant different problems, different stacks, different constraints, and usually a very different definition of what “done” looked like.

My role sat heavily on the engineering side, but it was never just about writing code. I worked closely with design and product requirements, translated interfaces into production-ready experiences, built functionality around existing systems, integrated APIs and third-party services, fixed issues, and helped push projects from an idea or design into something people could actually use.

Strix operates around an end-to-end model, combining product design, development, and production rather than treating them as separate handoffs. That meant I was often working at the intersection of design and engineering, making sure what looked good in a design actually worked once it became software.

One of the biggest things I took from working there was learning how to build for someone else's vision. When you're building your own product, you control the direction. With client work, you have to understand the goal, work within constraints, communicate clearly, and still find ways to make the final product feel intentional.

I also contributed across multiple projects and product types, from SaaS and web applications to highly visual marketing experiences. Strix's development work spans web and mobile applications, SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, dashboards, automation tools, and custom software, which gave me exposure to very different kinds of engineering problems.

The work also pushed me further into the part of engineering I enjoy most: making software feel good. Performance, responsiveness, animations, interactions, visual details, and the small things users probably never consciously notice became just as important to me as getting the underlying functionality right.

Strix has worked on products ranging from startup MVPs to larger digital platforms, including projects such as Kundli Pro and Ryvon Intelligence. Being part of that environment taught me how much happens between a Figma file and a finished product, and how important good engineering is in closing that gap.

More than anything, Strix helped me become a better product engineer. I wasn't just learning how to build software. I was learning how to take a problem, understand the product behind it, work with other people, deal with real constraints, and still care about the final pixel.

It was probably one of the best places for me to realise that I don't really like choosing between engineering and design.

I like doing both.
